Overall, the Xavier Niel family group has telecoms investments across thirteen countries in Europe representing c.73 million subscribers and around €16 billion in revenues.
In 2024, Freya signed a binding legal agreement to acquire a 19.8% of the share capital of Tele2 resulting in 27% voting rights for a total cash consideration of approximately SEK 13.0 billion (€1.16 billion).
Freya acquired the shareholding from Kinnevik, an investment company focused on digital consumer businesses.
In 2026, Freya is aligning its economic ownership in Tele2 up to its 27% share of votes through a series of transactions on its holdings in Tele2. These series of transactions are not intended to ultimately result in any material change in votes controlled by Freya in Tele2.
